Evelyn Lozada To Basketball Wives: Show Me The Money

"Basketball Wives"

Contentious reality star, Evelyn Lozada, of the show "Basketball Wives" is demanding a higher appearance fee, according to TMZ. The news was published today, as it was revealed the women on the program are currently making $7,500 per episode, but Lozada, who got her butt kicked in the finale by Tami Roman, is holding out for $20,000 for every show shot (not literally).

Evelyn Lozada and fiancé Chad Ochocinco

Last week, when Lozada quit "Basketball Wives" via the internet, the Judiciary Report did state it was a money issue, "Exactly how much more money did O'Neal offer Lozada to possibly allow Roman to head butt and drop kick her in season three" (Shaunie Says No One Is Leaving "Basketball Wives"). The issue has now revealed itself as a contractual dispute for increased earnings.

Evelyn Lozada

Side Bar: On "Basketball Wives" they keep making mention of their "circle." However, with the way they behave and attack each other, one would think it is a circle of hell. One would also think they had the nuclear codes for the nation and have to protect it in some secret "circle."

Gabrielle Union Slams Reality Show Stars As "Jackas*es"

Gabrielle Union

Hollywood actress, Gabrielle Union, who is not a favorite of most blogs, slammed reality show stars as "jackas*es." Union was sued by a real basketball wife, Siohvaughn Wade, for breaking up her marriage to Miami Heat player, Dwayne Wade, which resulted in acrimonious legal proceedings that were quite sad.

"Basketball Wives"

Union, stated she is not interested in the reality show "Basketball Wives" because, "I pay my own bills, first off, so I've never put myself in a position to have to be a jacka*s or to have to sell myself down the river for a reality show. I was just raised a little differently and my situation is a lot different, being that I have my own career, my own celebrity status on my own, independent and before him. But don't knock anybody's hustle, it's just not my path."

It's amazing that you were "raised a little differently" yet your mommy forgot to tell you don't break up people's marriages. Go figure!

Has Basketball Wives Topped The Real Housewives Of Atlanta

Real Housewives of Atlanta

Has "Basketball Wives" topped the ratings grabber "Real Housewives of Atlanta" in popularity. The two reality shows are Jerry Springer styled and often contain elements that scream lowest common denominator, but due to the recent ratings leap for "Basketball Wives" is the show about to surpass the popularity of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta."

"Basketball Wives"

Both shows are quite similar, but it seems "Basketball Wives" is stealing the crown of "Real Housewives of Atlanta." The show also has a celebrity connection it is exploiting for ratings. However, both shows need to do better in their portrayal of people of color. They are not setting a good example. There is so much negativity, jealousy and bickering.

Shaunie O'Neal Addresses "Basketball Wives" Departure Claims

"Basketball Wives"

"Basketball Wives" star and producer, Shaunie O'Neal, has finally conceded, costar, Eveyln Lozada, may have been trying to leave the show, after Tami Roman started beating her up, for sleeping with her ex-husband, Kenney Anderson. A public backlash ensued, as the couple was married at the time Lozada had sex with Anderson.

Shaunie O'Neal

Yesterday, O'Neal stated to ESPN regarding the departures, "it was just a rumor" and "no one is leaving the show." However, today O'Neal told the New Miami Times, "(Lozada) She is having a difficult time with the world judging her right now and having a lot to say... Its hard emotionally and mentally for the world sitting back and saying what they think of her."

Shaunie Says No One Is Leaving "Basketball Wives"

Basketball Wives

"Basketball Wives" star and producer, Shaunie O'Neal, made a complete u-turn on earlier statements she made, on a departure from her show, regarding dancer Royce Reed. Boutique owner, Evilyn Evelyn Lozada, also announced she was leaving the show, after O'Neal set her up for a beatdown, handed out by Tami Roman, the ex-wife of former NBA star, Kenny Anderson.

Yesterday, the Judiciary Report wrote, the departure of the two ladies would put a dent in the show, as they are the most popular and controversial, judging by public feedback. Today, O'Neal announced via a message on ESPN that "No one is leaving the show."

Girlfriend thought about her ratings and changed her mind. Exactly how much more money did O'Neal offer Lozada to possibly allow Roman to head butt and drop kick her in season three. Hold on to your extensions, girl, because next season could land you in traction. Not to encourage violence, but that's why you shouldn't sleep with people's husbands.

Shaunie O'Neal Loses Two Top Reality Stars On "Basketball Wives"

Evelyn Lozada

Now that Shaunie O'Neal has lost her two most controversial and popular reality stars on "Basketball Wives" with the dismissal of Royce Reed and departure of Evelyn Lozada, how will she replace them, considering many NBA wives and girlfriends are avoiding the tabloid styled reality show.

Royce Reed

O'Neal rigged fights and sticky situations for ratings, only to lose her two top stars in the end. Not to mention, the ex-girlfriend of Miami Heat's Chris Bosh, has been withdrawn from contention for next season. All O'Neal's scheming has backfired. Either way, she needs to clean up the content of the show.

Evelyn Lozada To Quit "Basketball Wives"

Evelyn Lozada

Distressed with negative public feedback, at revelations she slept with then married basketball player, Kenny Anderson and withheld this fact from his ex-wife, Tami Roman, whilst befriending her recently, "Basketball Wives" star, Evelyn Lozada, is reportedly thinking about quitting the show.

Lozada is now blaming co-star and producer of "Basketball Wives" Shaunie O'Neal, for setting her up for a scene that culminated into a fight with Roman, who slapped her twice on both sides of her head...on national TV.

Had Lozada been more apologetic about sleeping with a married man, rather than playing the victim and calling his ex-wife names, she would not have received the internet bashing she did, after the season finale of the show aired.

Tami Roman

Millionaire Anderson, was not the best husband to Roman, the mother of his two children, whom he divorced and left penniless, due to an airtight prenuptial agreement. He could have given her something. Roman was on food stamps and other forms of government assistance, while Anderson lived it up with groupies and loose women in his mansion.

Many NBA athletes take good care of their wives or girlfriends, so it was disappointing that Anderson took this route with the mother of his children, who is clearly still scarred by the whole experience.

Basketball Wives Season Finale Ends With A Beating

Evelyn Lozada

Season two of the reality show "Basketball Wives" ended with a bang or should I say, a beating. Tami Roman, ex-wife of basketball player, Kenny Anderson, was confronted by bad news from costar, Evelyn Lozada, who told her she'd slept with the aforementioned player in 1998...twice...while he was married.

Tami Roman

Roman went street and karate chopped Lozada on both sides of her head, faster than Lindsay Lohan stole that $2,500 necklace. Actually, Roman slapped her upside BOTH sides of her head in less than two seconds.

So much for sharing, then. Too much information. While the site does not agree with violence, Roman had every right to be angry. Lozada was disrespectful and very cruel.

Shaunie Stirring The Doo Doo In The NBA

Warning: graphic medical photo present in this article

Shaquille O'Neal and ex-wife Shaunie O'Neal

Shaunie O'Neal, the ex-wife of basketball superstar, Shaquille O'Neal, is really stirring the doo doo in the NBA. O'Neal, who got into legal trouble, when her ex-husband, became infuriated at her using the details of their marriage and divorce in the reality show "Basketball Wives" has signed a major momma for the next season of her program.

Chris Bosh and Allison Mathis

Enter Allison Mathis - the ex-girlfriend and the mother of Chris Bosh's child. Yes, that Chris Bosh, of the Miami Heat, who is now engaged to Adrienne Williams. Who knows what Mathis is going to say and if Bosh will need to seek a lawyer as a preemptive move (see Shaquille and Dwight Howard). What O'Neal has done in the past is to lure disgruntled women on the show and get them to spill all, you know, like Oprah.

Chris Bosh and fiancée Adrienne Williams

However, it has gotten quite messy with current and past alumni. I'll cite a few examples. Rashidah Ali, who made an appearance on the show, was arrested and has been sued for a gory assault on bouncer, Joseph Wright. He tried to eject Ali and two friends from a club and she cut his face open.

Rashida Ali (left) and Joseph Wright (right)

Former MTV "Real World" cast member, Tammy Roman, joined "Basketball Wives" and fell into some trouble. Roman, who famously married, then was divorced from Kenny Anderson, who left her with nothing, in spite of the fact she has two children for him, became inebriated on the show and tried to fight the black Paris Hilton, Jennifer Williams, wife of basketball player, Eric Williams.

Gloria Govan

In another incident, Gloria Govan, fiancee of basketball player, Matt Barnes, was the subject of domestic violence, when the couple had a dispute about an undisclosed matter. Barnes was arrested.

Laura Govan and Kids

Govan's sister, Laura, who also appeared on the show and reportedly had an affair with Shaquille O'Neal, while he was married, had a very messy break-up with boyfriend, basketball player, Gilbert Arenas. Govan illegally cleaned out his mansion of $4,000,000 worth of goods.

Marlon Yates and Shaunie O'Neal

Shaunie isn't scandal free either when it comes to this show. Her current boyfriend, Marlon Yates, 23, has been paying special attention to castmate, Royce Reed, who is the mother of basketballer Dwight Howard's son. Howard filed a restraining order against Reed and barred her from including their son in "Basketball Wives."

Royce Reed

Yates, allegedly bought dancer Reed expensive shoes, when he is supposed to be dating her boss, which has placed her in the line of fire, as in getting fired by O'Neal. No official word has been released, but some sites are stating O'Neal wants her off the show.

Jennifer Williams and Evelyn Lozada

With all the money and fame the aforementioned folks have, it is remarkable and tragic that none of them seem happy. "Basketball Wives" is often catty, cruel, caustic and violent. It's not the best portray of black people and people of color on television.

Basketball Wives

There is even an episode where Reed throws a benefit for cancer research, only for Williams and Lozada, to lie and mockingly make excuses not to attend. There is nothing funny or amusing about cancer. I think the show hit an all time low, in broadcasting such superficial and socially ignorant conduct.
